As a blogger, I consider myself mischievous. That’s one of the reasons why I do it. But I also consider myself fair. I try to get back to stories wherever possible – so remember my post on June 18th about Carl Cox having a drum and bass mix critiqued?

It turns out that Theta Burn has ended up having a period of reflection after the intense criticism after his, well, criticism of a Carl Cox set. He posted this a few days ago…

A person admitting they’re not perfect? When will the period of self-reflection come from those who were casting stones the loudest at the time? When will they accept they went overboard? This being the social media age where no one ever apologises for anything unless forced to, sadly never is the answer.

Critiquing a mix from a DJ of Cox’s calibre is risky, but the mere idea he’s beyond any criticism at all is ludicrous…
