So that’s how you get a job at Spotify! Their Creative Lead posted a job vacancy for a Creative Strategist on Twitter – now can someone tell me what they would actually do?

I always suspected that job adverts for Spotify were never going to be amongst those you’d find in newspapers or in ghastly job centres. But I never could work out how you actually get one of these highly paid positions in a company where the average employee is on a six figure salary.

Well, wonder no more. Emma Hopkins, the current Creative Lead – no, I’ve no idea what that means, and the rest of her CV is a mystery too – has given us the answer. They put them up on Twitter to find similarly minded creatives.

A previous job advert from when Spotify last searched for a creative strategist is meant to provide more detail as to what the job entails, but just reads like gibberish to me. For example…

“Partner with the UK sales team by generating creative ideas and providing strategic consultation in response to high value RFPs both for the UK market and for multi-country campaigns.”

Nope. Not a clue. Not only do I know I won’t be applying to work at Spotify, I also feel very old…
