Eastbourne is a seaside town in south east England. It’s got a population of just over 100,000 and has had a reputation for many years as being a popular destination for people who wished to enjoy their retirement. Indeed, comedian Jasper Carrott once joked in the 90s that Eastbourne was where people went to die.

And speaking of old people, I understand that Judge Jules himself is doing a set at the Summer Anthems festival in the town at the end of the month. No doubt he’ll be looking forward to it – let’s face it, it couldn’t be much worse than his less than rousing speech at Save Our Scene’s protest.

Anyway, it might be worth getting tickets if you fancy spending the day doing something other than watching Tipping Point on ITV and complaining that everything used to be better in the past – even through it clearly wasn’t. Hopefully, his set will be finished before the last bus home…
