The pandemic pushed DJ Sneak into making one big change in the way he does business. His disillusionment with downloads was well known, and it was even greater in size on streaming. He decided to move his livestreams over to FutureStream in January and has been doing regular shows there since.

Until around a week or two ago. Now, Sneak is telling everyone on social media about the new home for his streams – Monad Social. All forthcoming shows on his FutureStream channel have been cancelled and moved to the new site instead. But what is going on behind the scenes?

An insider gave me some details. As I understand it, Monad Social is a relative newcomer to the streaming market and wants to make an impact early on. Word is that they contacted Sneak and made him an offer. How much money was involved remains confidential, but he receives significant promotion on the site.

I’m also hearing rumours that his previous home at FutureStream received a few complaints relating to copyright on his streams – sadly, I’m not in a position to comment on where this is true. However, the risk of having an account deleted is forever in existence on many platforms.

DJ Sneak has not yet responded to requests for comment.
