It’s been a weird weekend, even by the current standards of the world, for the residents of Aberdeen. Firstly, they’re trying to resolve the mystery of who put up a huge portrait of Pat Butcher on the wall of the Indoor Market. And possibly even more importantly, why.

On top of that, there’s also the baffling news that Michael Gove was seen clubbing at Aberdeen club Bohemia. Who’s Michael Gove? He’s the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and a pretty high profile cabinet minister in the UK government. And if you think I’m making this up…

Not quite up there with the infamous footage of Boris Yeltsin dancing in 1996, but well worth noting anyway. Still, judging by the photos which Gove willingly posed for afterwards, it appears Colombian imports aren’t being affected by Britain’s current shortage of lorry drivers…
