It’s a frustrating feeling. You spend lots of time writing up content that you think will have the interest of your readers. Then you realise that barely any of your followers have actually seen it because Facebook’s algorithm has decided not to bother allowing most of them to see it on their timelines.
Frankly, it makes you think you’re wasting your time. Which is why this development piqued my interest from the off. Less than 24 hours ago, I posted a link to this new, work in progress website on my social media platforms. Some of my most recent posts already have had more readers than they ever would on my Facebook page – and I haven’t even properly got started yet.
You’ll therefore be pleased to know that something resembling the more normal service you used to see on Mark Zuckerberg’s place will resume on Monday.
I think I made the right call, didn’t I?
