Today, Amateur’s House introduces a brand new series. Every Monday evening, I’m going to select one song from somewhere in the history of dance music which you might have forgotten about. A Classics album type of thing, this certainly isn’t aiming to be.
So without further ado, let’s begin. Today’s choice is a song that did well at the turn of the millennium, being signed to Ministry of Sound in 2000 for quite a lot of money. It’s “Is It Love” by Chili Hi Fly, which was a collective of musicians and singers based in Australia. The song sampled “Be My Lady” by Kool And The Gang.
