There are times in life when you think that something is so blindingly and painfully obvious that it needs not be said. Alas, it appears that it does.

When you receive a promo record, it is solely for you and anyone else who has been given the record by an authorised party – whether that be an artist or a record label. It is not yours to distribute. This means you are not permitted to give it to anyone else. If anyone else wants the promo, they are welcome to contact the party who sent it to you to request one.

I recently discovered that someone had been sharing my promos with other people. Sufficient to say that they’re no longer on my promo list.
