The fallout from who’s getting bailed out and who isn’t continues along its dreary, depressing trajectory. Printworks London is just the latest to get a big fat no from Arts Council England.

Yet Resident Advisor, who write reviews of music – and pretty badly, at that – get their piece of silver handed to them. And Boiler Room, whose finances indicate a company that is failing and quite arguably deserves to fail, are also awarded generous payouts from the taxpayer.

It’s high time that questions started being asked about the lop-sided criteria that Arts Council England are using to decide who gets a wad of dough and how much…
